Get rid of the outline

some students use multiple rollover for their navigation. when you view your page using FireFox, you will see blue outlines around the image link. How to take the outlines off of images links?

1: give one extra attribute for tag as border="0"
that will remove the border for Link images! So the tag will look like:

add that to your CSS file.

PUSH & PULL PROJECT PROPOSAL

Barcelona (Spain) - Based on the response and requests from the design community, Design for the World has extended the deadline for participation in the 'Push-Pull' pictogram project to 15 June 2008.

The project is soliciting submissions to develop a 'push-pull' pictogram to fill a gap in the codified systems of pictograms. Currently, it is necessary to use words, even written in different alphabets, which vary according to the language of a given country. The pictogram would facilitate better communication between peoples who speak different languages.

Submitted proposals, sketches and ideas will be grouped, according to their conceptual or visual affinities, into “families”. All sketches, ideas or proposals in each of these “families” will then be synthesised into one sign which reflects its essence, so that there will be as many unique signs as there are “families”.

The different synthesised signs will then be sent to all designers contributed ideas, sketches or proposals. The outcome of this phase will address cultural or semiological incompatibilities and rank the proposals by preference.

LightBox: a JavaScript application used to display large images using modal dialogs. The script has gained widespread popularity due to its simple yet elegant style and easy implementation. Lightbox uses the Prototype Javascript Framework and script.aculo.us for its animations and positioning.

Shadowbox Media Viewer A “cross-browser, cross-platform, cleanly-coded and fully-documented media viewer application written entirely in JavaScript”. It can be used to extend the Prototype+ Scriptaculous, as well as YUI, Ext, jQuery and MooTools frameworks.

Synapses Lightbox A PHP Based lightbox solution that uses one image, and one image directory for your lightbox galley. As opposed to having a thumbnail image for previewing, Synapses Lightbox auto resizes proportionately on the fly with the use of the PHP GD technology.
